My name is Dan Larson, president of WPV - Training, LLc. I was a police officer for 26 years. After retiring at age 54, I have begun a new career at Purdue University as a Training Specialist for the Physical Facilities Department. I am an authorized 10 hour and 30 OSHA General Industry Outreach Trainer. Below you can read some of my accomplishments while serving as a police officer. In 1999 I was named the Daybreak Rotary of Greater Lafayette Indiana as Police Officer Of The Year. In 2001 I received the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators award for Administrative Excellence specifically for the work accomplished in Workplace Violence Prevention Training. I was honored to be flown to Williamsburg Va. to receive the award. Purdue University presented me with the Excellence 21 award for my work educating young adults on the dangers associated with the miss-use of alcohol. In December of 2003 the Human Resource Services Department for the educational section of Purdue University presented me a special recognition award for Dedication and Service specifically for my efforts in the area of workplace violence prevention.
